Hello! My name is Sarah Alford. I am 17 and I am a senior at South Lyon East High School. I participate in several extra-curricular activities and am very involved with the choir program. This year I had the privilege of becoming a student conductor. I also stepped up to volunteer my time to organize and lead an A Capella group to save the program from being discontinued. Throughout my years at South Lyon East, I have also been a member of the tennis and softball team, and this year became involved in the theater program.

 

My goal is to become a music major and eventually have a career that is music performance related. Music has always been my passion and when I think of my future I can't imagine doing anything else. I love working with kids and enjoy bringing my creativity and energy to all the projects I'm involved in.

 

In my free time, I like to bike, spend time with my family, hang out with my friends, and sing. I also love to travel. Over this past summer, my mom, step-dad, step-sister, and I went on a trip around Germany and Austria. The experience was extremely eye-opening and was, overall, an amazing trip. I believe that these experiences have helped shape me and have expanded my horizon.
